Symptoms of GBS often begin with weakness or tingling sensations in the legs, gradually spreading to the arms and face. In some cases, paralysis of limbs and even the chest muscles can occur, posing a risk to breathing. In severe instances, speech and swallowing abilities may also be affected, warranting immediate intensive-care treatment.
