Mattel's Barbie has already been slammed for promoting unattainable beauty standards in children. The firm has moved away from that reputation in recent years by producing a diverse range of dolls. It began by launching Barbie and Ken's dolls equipped with wheelchairs, vitiligo, hearing aids, and prosthetic limbs. The business unveiled its "most diverse doll line" in its 2023 Fashionistas line-up, which includes a doll with Down syndrome.
