Kanhaiya Life Care Medicine, based in Kolkata, has partnered with TSAW Drones, a drone tech firm, to launch a B2C pharmaceutical drone delivery service in the city.
The startup will utilize drones to deliver medicines to patients, reducing delays caused by road traffic and ensuring the smooth and uninterrupted delivery of medical supplies to a variety of recipients, including patients.
The medicines will first be collected from Kanhaiya Medical's Hind Motor warehouse and delivered to the TSAW Drones Howrah drone hub, from where TSAW's expert motorcyclists will ensure that the parcels arrive at their respective destinations on time.
The B2C pharmaceutical drone delivery service will begin in certain districts of Kolkata, with ambitions to expand to other cities soon. Buyers will be able to place orders via Kanhaiya Life Care Medicine's website and tele-caller service, and orders will be delivered within minutes.
A launch event for the pharmaceutical drone delivery service was held at the Hind Motor warehouse in Kolkata. A large crowd gathered to observe the launch and how the drone delivery of medicines would operate. According to a corporate press release, the drone-assisted delivery crossed an 11-kilometer trip in eight minutes, showcasing TSAW Drones' ability to optimize and expedite logistical procedures.
