Roche Diagnostics and Cancer Awareness Prevention and Early Detection Trust (CAPED) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to launch a Cervical Cancer Screening Program to promote cancer awareness, prevention, and early detection.
The MoU specifies a partnership between the two organizations to fight cervical cancer in India, which is the second most frequent malignancy among Indian women, according to a news release.
The relationship with CAPED is one recent step Roche Diagnostics India has taken to remove the social stigma associated with the disease and raise awareness of cervical cancer screening.
Roche Diagnostics India is committed to reducing the incidence of cervical cancer internationally. In accordance with the collaboration, CAPED will contact businesses in Mumbai, Delhi, Chennai, Hyderabad, and Bangalore to conduct about 100 awareness workshops to empower female employees to take charge of their health, inform them of the advantages of HPV DNA screening, suggest screening intervals, and inform them of the necessity of using a clinically validated test to ensure maximum test efficacy.
